In the world of MMORPGs,Final Fantasy XIV has risen to the top alongside (or perhaps even surpassing) World of Warcraft. Besides it being one of the best Final Fantasy games, one thing that sets it apart from most in the genre is the fact that it is on consoles as well as PC. For the first decade or so of its life, it was only on PlayStation and PC, but now Xbox players are also able to explore the world of Eorzea and beyond. MMOs are best played with friends, so one would hope it would have cross-platform support likeGenshin Impact. Let’s party up and see if you can raid with your friends regardless of platform in Final Fantasy XIV.
Yes, Final Fantasy XIV was originally only cross-platform between PlayStation and PC players, but ever since the game came to Xbox, those players have also been entered into the fold. You’re free to meet, team up with, and experience the entire game with players on all platforms so long as you’re connected to the same server.

As far as cross-progression goes, Final Fantasy XIV handles things a little awkwardly. While your character and progress will be fully transferable between platforms, the game itself and any expansions you buy do not transfer. You can still use the same subscription, thankfully, but moving from platform to platform will require you to rebuy any extra content not currently available for free if you want to access it. However, we’re sure you’ve already heard that the critically acclaimed MMORPG has a free trial up to level 70.

Best gaming console deals: cheapest prices on PS5, Xbox S and X and Switch
While gaming PCs are great, if you're the type of person who wants a more plug and play experience and to sit at the TV, then a PS5 or Xbox makes a lot of sense. That said, there aren't a ton of great deals on the consoles themselves right now, although there are still quite a few good bundle deals that are worth grabbing. To that end, we've gone out and collected our favorite Series S and X deals, PlayStation 5 deals, and Nintendo Switch deals, so you can pick whichever one sparks your fancy.
Xbox Series S 1TB + 1TB Storage Expansion Card -- $450 $500 10% off
The Xbox Series S is the less powerful but cheaper option out of the newest generation Xbox line. When comparing the Xbox Series S versus the Xbox Series X, the Series S takes a hit in all the component categories. That means it's not quite as fast. But if you're not hung up on getting the optimal performance out of your system, you'll actually notice very few differences. The two biggest ones are the Series S's inability to play in 8K, and its lack of a disc drive. Most people don't even have 8K TVs, so that shouldn't be an issue. If you're alright with downloading all of your games straight to the console's memory (and you have a separate DVD or Blu-Ray player), the Series S will work fine. It's quite a bit smaller anyway, and easier to fit on a shelf.

Is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 cross-platform?
Despite not every game in the franchise being one of the best Call of Duty games, entries are always among the bestselling games of the year. Thankfully, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6looks like it will be a return to form for the iconic shooter franchise, especially when it comes to multiplayer.
With competition in the shooter space being more fierce than ever thanks to free games like Apex Legends and XDefiant, Black Ops 6 will need to make sure it doesn't give players any reason to skip it. One major pothole it needs to avoid is not being a cross-platform game and only letting players compete with others on their own systems. This is the first entry released since Activision was purchased by Xbox, and while it will still come out on all platforms, will Xbox shut off cross-platform support? Here's what we know about Black Ops 6 cross-platform support.

All cross-platform games (PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC)
Cross-platform support is becoming more important in the world of video games. Multiplayer hits like Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0andFortnitehave pushed crossplay into the limelight, and now most AAA multiplayer games release with at least partial cross-platform support. Finding every cross-platform game is no easy feat, though, so we did the hard work to bring you a comprehensive list of games that support crossplay.
Unfortunately, there aren't any rules when it comes to crossplay, so each game handles the feature a little differently. To make matters more confusing, certain backward-compatible games on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series Xstill support crossplay on the most recent hardware, even if there isn't an official release for that hardware.
